STOURPORT AWAY NEXT SATURDAY

Postby The Voice on Sun Oct 25, 2009 1:08 pm

Subject to league confirmation we should now be away to Stourport Swifts next Saturday.

They were approaced ealier in the week but initially declined, however, they have since reconsidered.

It is planned that the fans forum will still go ahead at 1200 noon as their is ample time to get to the game.

Evening Adders Forum!

Am I guessing that the forum is still going ahead on Saturday at 12 at the ground?

Look forward to meeting everyone - and having a chat with you all.

Best.

Got to Stourport....then found there was a 30 min diversion to the ground so missed the game and came home. Not at all happy but it seemed a lot of supporters with in the same boat trying to get to the ground.

Again another brilliant away result.....did anyone get there? and if so what was the team.

You should have stuck with it Miller - we eventually reached the ground just before 3pm, only to find k.o.delayed by 30 mins. due to said roadworks !
Team:- Woakes,Roscorla,Guiney,Bruce,Dainty,Hendrie,Henchcliffe,Rathbone,Edwards,Keen,Robinson.
Subs:-Stevens(Edwards),Fulford(Henchcliffe),Sturridge-P.(Robinson).
The lads played some really attractive free-flowing football, esp.in the 1st half, and created many chances. Once again Woakes dealt capably with everything that was thrown at him. We almost held out for a clean sheet but we'll settle for a convincing 3-1 win. My man-of-the-match was Stuart Hendrie - he had a blinder.
All credit to Daren,Dave and the lads, especially in view of the budget bombshell.

Well what a day out that was. left the ground at 12-40 and got there at 2-55. 100 yards of roadworks resulted in a 15 mile diversion
cracking game though :D and only 5 mins from a clean sheet
Roll on tuesday against leighton buzzard and also the juniors in the fa youth cup on weds

I have to agree with forestadder. Great game, would have been even better if we kept a clean sheet but thought the lads played brilliantly. Was sitting in the stand in the second half and a couple of locals commented on how well they thought the lads played and were very impressed by Stuart Hendrie (also my man of the match choice).
